This past weekend, Shaolin Hub from UK Shaolin hosted a New Forest Mindfulness Walk, bringing together a wonderful mix of adults, children, families – and of course their dogs – for an inspiring day in nature.
Although the morning began cold and rainy, spirits were high, and even more people than expected turned up to take part. Together, the group covered more than 19 kilometres through the stunning New Forest, transforming the damp start into a journey filled with warmth, energy and connection.
Along the way, participants enjoyed short sessions of Tai Chi, Qi Gong, meditation and even a little Kung Fu. These practices offered moments of calm reflection, balance and mindfulness amid the forest trails.
Beyond the physical challenge, the walk became an opportunity for meaningful conversation.
Participants shared thoughts, insights and experiences, making the event as much about community and mutual understanding as it was about health and wellbeing.

Mariana, one of the organisers from UK Shaolin, said: “We were absolutely delighted to see so many people join us, despite the weather. The energy, the conversations, and the shared practice of mindfulness and movement made it a truly special day.”

The event was described by many attendees as both a “fantastic walk” and an “inspirational outcome”, leaving everyone uplifted and motivated.
